Winter Fishing in Caloundra

“The winter has come !!!!!” This statement might arouse parts of the community in different ways. For us the cold weather means cold water fish.

Normally Snapper (my favourite fish all year round) are out deep in the cooler water but at the moment you only need to go out 2-3 klms to bag out on these beauties.

One of the best places to find them at the moment are local reefs at Caloundra. For instance coffee rock, brays, and inner nearing’s are producing great catches of snapper, reds, parrot.

This is great for two reasons.

First of all these close reefs make it quick and easy to go and catch some great fish and get home before lunch. Secondly if gives many people just getting into deep water fishingan opportunity to test their open water skills without loosing sight of land.

If you’ve just started out and you’re looking for an open water fishing boat there are a couple of models in the Trident and Yellow Fin Quintrex range that are currently offering great value for money for both the family fisherman and hard core angler.

What are you waiting for?

Currently there are some bargains to be had for the E-Tec powered Quintrex’s range who are offering $10 per horsepower factory cashback on 40hp -130hp and if that’s not reason enough to get your interest Caloundra Marine have an exclusive offer to double the factory cash back during the Boat Show Season. That means you can potentially get back up to $2600 off the already good Boat Show pricing.
